Renfaire
The 2001 Pictures Page
The pictures are in no particular order other than the order I happened to scan them in.
I want to thank everyone who was kind enough to allow me to take their picture.
Everyone was smiling/happy/having a good time.
I definitely recommend the RenFaire as a haven from the world of political correctness.
You get to shoot tennis balls with air cannons at this guy who runs around dodging them.
I paid for everyone to have one extra round so I could try and get a shot of everyone firing at the guy at once.
Unfortunately, the tennis balls didn't show up very well in the picture.
In the thumbnail, but not in the larger picture, I colored the balls red so you can see where they are.
On the plus side, having bought the extra round for everyone, I now know the pleasure of being on the receiving end of a group 'huzzah!'
This is the Lady Brenda.
She's a PhD twice over, does Readings, and teaches classes in Egyptian Magic & Philosophy and Wicca & Druidism.
Other than to say she is probably the most regal lady I have ever met, I hesitate to even attempt to describe her, so have a look at her web site:

Jim Hrisoulas, Swordsmith, of Salamander Armoury.
The swords he makes are actual, serious swords, not the rattle/break/trinket kind.
The swords he brought with him to the RenFaire definitely looked like...I don't know exactly how to describe them...High quality stuff to my inexperienced eye.
His web site:

This was one very very dirty little boy, much more so than the picture gives him credit for.
He was...he was just terribly happy with life though- he was having all kinds of fun playing in the dirt.
Wish more parents would let their kids occasionally have this sort of unrestricted, do-whatever-you-want kind of fun.
Violence at the RenFaire!
I did have a normal thumbnail, but I wanted to spare those of a more delicate constitution this truly gruesome expression of unseemly violence, nay, even man's inhumanity to man!
If you are brave and strong of heart, click this censored thumbnail to see the true, unedited image.
Why* doesn't anyone believe me, that I was taking a picture of the flower, darn it?
*That's rhetorical, thank you very much.
